Exciting Times for Capital Cooling Service Division

For the past 20 years Capital Cooling has been at the forefront of the commercial refrigeration industry. Growing swiftly from a local refrigeration business in Edinburgh to a national provider of high quality service, maintenance and equipment the rise of Capital Cooling has been a real success story.

Over these 20 years we have been lucky to have been recognised with awards from our peers – such as Contractor of the Year from both RAC and ACR News while our MD, Alister McLean, has received recognition for his contribution to the industry with both the Fred Jamieson and Kooltec awards for Industry achievement. Over the last 3 years Capital Cooling has also been recognised as one of Scotland’s top 300 SME’s.

Throughout this time we have had the pleasure of working in partnership with some of the UK’s leading brands in the leisure, retail and hospitality sectors and we look forward to welcoming more to the Capital family over the coming weeks and months.

As part of our plan for continued expansion and growth we are very happy to announce that our Service Division has undergone structural and procedural changes that we believe will enable us to not only continue to meet but now exceed the requirements of our clients.

We also have some exciting new additions to the team, all of whom bring significant experience that we believe will be invaluable to our business. 

National Service Centre

Alan Ovenstone continues in charge of the day to day operations of our National Service Centre which is home to our call centre, engineer controllers, PPM, quotes and parts teams. Alan is supported by Pamela Donaldson-Murray and Karen Friel who, in their role as Team Leaders, ensure that their areas run as efficiently and smoothly as possible.  

In addition we have also welcomed Stuart Nelson to the team who, as our in-house desk engineer, provides first line support to both customers and also our field based engineers – an invaluable service and something that is already starting to have a positive impact on our customer service levels.

The National Service Centre team are challenged with providing the ultimate level of customer support, a complete “end-to-end” service where every customer call out is treated with the urgency and respect that it demands.

We have also recently introduced a new, fully bespoke, service management system which makes the whole process of logging, scheduling and attending calls more efficient – with the benefits being passed on to our clients. We will continue to develop this system and will be adding new features that will have fantastic and unique benefits for our partners.

Engineering Team

We are very happy to welcome Paul Greenberg to our team. Paul joins Ian McGill and Neil Taylor as a Regional Service Manager and will be responsible for the Southern area. These three Regional Managers

Furthermore, additional support to our engineering network is provided by the 6 Engineering Supervisors who will work with all engineers in their area to provide a consistent, high quality service to all of our customers.

Our fantastic team of field based engineers cover every corner of the UK – quite literally from Lands’ End to John O’Groats and everywhere in-between. We believe we now have coverage of the UK that is second to none and a workforce that consists of the very best that the country as to offer.

Account Management + Business Development

Russell Gledstone has joined as Business Development Manager and, as part of his remit, is responsible for the account management team, comprising of John Officer and Jennifer Massie.

Russ and his team will be working with existing clients to ensure that they receive the best possible support and customer service while also looking to explore any possibilities for further business that may be mutually beneficial. As one of the UK’s only “full service” refrigeration businesses Capital Cooling can offer clients a whole range of additional services and streamline the refrigeration aspect of their business.

Russ will also be working hard with his team to bring in new partners as we continue to expand our portfolio of high quality clients.

We genuinely believe that this is an exciting time for Capital Cooling and the work we are doing now is going to result in a fantastic 2017 for the Service Division and also the rest of the business.
