Capital Cooling Awarded £80,000 Grant To Help Create New Jobs

Capital Cooling Ltd, has secured an award of £80,000 from the West Lothian Economic Growth Plan to support the creation of 14 new jobs in Broxburn.

Executive councillor for development and transport, and chair of the Enterprise Sub Committee, Cathy Muldoon commented: “The development and expansion plans being undertaken by Capital Cooling Ltd in Broxburn are very exciting. This is an excellent example of a national company choosing to expand and develop its business in West Lothian.

“Capital Cooling Ltd is clearly a leader in its field and it is great that the WLEGP can support the creation of 14 new jobs in Broxburn and in particular in a company which is ambitious and growing its business. I would like to wish them every success in the future.”

Alister McLean from Capital Cooling Ltd, commented: “We are delighted to have been awarded £80,000 from the West Lothian Economic Growth Plan which will be used to support our new developments in Broxburn and will generate exciting new employment opportunities for the local community.

“We are currently undertaking a £1.3 million project. This includes a warehouse expansion which is well underway and a new test facility is also planned within the Broxburn site, which will provide a base for more efficient development and testing of product ranges. The new facility will enable the business to continue to produce industry leading products and when it is complete the chamber will be the only one within Scotland.”

The WLEGP was set up as a response to the closure of VION in January 2013, to support business growth in West Lothian and to help attract investment in the area.
